Yes.

There are so many aspects one can bring up. Some will show strong 
similarities, and others that make them look totally different.

My point here was simply that controllers sitting in their own cabinets, 
made out of lots of small flip chips can be seen both on KA-10, KI-10, 
PDP-8 and PDP-11 systems from the late 60s, early 70s. Rather similar in 
concept. Usually also with lots of blinkenlights to show various 
information about the controller. (You just gotta love the "MAGIC" lamp 
of the KI-10.)

(And I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the PDP-15 were similar, but 
since I have never seen one of those myself, I can't comment on them.)
