"Reasonably quickly" is a relative term. I've got samples here that I
had to cogitate over for a year.
Admittedly, these were items that were sui generis, but "quickly" was
not in the picture. Perhaps with some choice pharmaceuticals, my
thinking speed could be improved, but I haven't explored that yet.
You know--you get a disk that's thought to contain some information, the
identity of the originating system is unknown; no Rosetta stones to be seen.
For my purposes, clearly defined spectral peaks are the critical
thing--and that's done on my MCU implementation.
