Restoring dull BOT markers?

Actually, it would be helpful when googling to know what this sort of
thing is used for in the _modern_ world.  Presumably any NOS on ebay
that was made to be bot/eot markers for 9track or similar is going to
have aged adhesive now.

The "real thing" is, what, quarter inch wide by 1.5-2 inches long?
Slightly less than quarter inch?
