I used Everspin MRAM chips for my PDP-8e memory cards. It's just like 
SRAM, fast at 35 ns, and unlimited read/write endurance.
Only drawback is it's 3.3 volts only. I just used level converters. It's 
a magnetoresistive memory, feels just like core.
$12 for a 64K x 16 chip at Digikey.
