Even an L100 is very high quality for text work (anything above 1270dpi 
has diminished returns for text).

But unsuitable for quality halftones and 4-colour process, obviously.

However, soon afterwards I had the opportunity to work with _allegedly_ 
the first PostScript DRUM imagesetter imported to Australia: A 
Scangraphic. An _extremely_ well engineered box both in hardware and 
software. Capable of very high precision separations. I've rarely had 
the pleasure of using such excellent equipment.
