What is the KH11-A? (was Re: Differences between the PDP-11/15 and PDP-11/20)

The April 1983 Option/Module list (one of several at Bitsavers) says that a KH11-A is "system expansion (latency reduction)".  Not clear what that means.  It says that it is used with KA11, KC11.
