Sheet Metal Fabrication Options?

I have a somewhat similar question....

A couple items in my holdings have rust, typically on large sheet metal outer enclosures. A prime example is the pedestal for my DG TP1 printing terminal. The only good solution I could see is having the existing metalwork sandblasted and then repainted. I've not checked, but I suspect that's "non-trivial-$".

Thoughts?
