You are probably better off sending heavy shock-sensitive items on a pallet via freight.  A parcel invites being handled on a conveyor or dropped.  A pallet has to be handled with a forklift.   It's likely more expensive, but I recall getting a decent price for a VT52 I had shipped this way via Freightquote.com.
