Just random googling, that says they delete deleted messages generally 
within 60 days but do leave a hole for offline backup systems having 
copies (which makes sense from CYA perspective.)

Probably better to build profile data off of each email and store that 
anyways, less computation.

Self hosted mail systems for the win.
