Has anyone tried ditching the peroxide and simply gone to using a 
solution of sodium percarbonate (e.g. "Oxyclean")?  Cheap and pretty 
shelf-stable in the powder form.

Not that I care about yellow plastic.  It's all going to crumble eventually.
