Hi
In some ways the train is worse. One or two changes, having to lug
a suitcase and the venue might be near the station but the hotel is
likely not.
As a place to visit, out of season Lake District can be very nice (I'm
originally from Liverpool) as a show venue, well there are better.
London is a different matter. Station two miles down the road then under
an hour to Paddington.
